Scholarship Information Form

The Wabash Valley Road Runners (WVRR) is currently accepting applications for their 2023-2024 scholarship competition. WVRR awards two $1,000 scholarships each year to outstanding student athletes from the Wabash Valley. Applicants are evaluated based on their academic and athletic accomplishments as well as the contributions they make to their schools and communities. Award winners will be recognized at the Twilight River Run in July, and at the annual awards banquet in January. The application and details can be found below. Deadline for the 2023-2024 competition is April 15, 2024.

Below is information on requirements when applying for the WVRR scholarship:

We will need the following information about each student:

• Fully completed student information form (part of downloaded scholarship form)
• Counselor information section to be completed by a school counselor.
• A copy of a high school or college transcript.
• A copy of your SAT or ACT scores.
• Three (3) letters of recommendation: 1 from your high school or college
  track or cross country coach or running club representative; 1 from a
  teacher in your high school or college; 1 from a non-family member of the
  community in which you reside.
• A personal essay of 400-500 words describing why you should receive this
  scholarship. The essay should include how running has impacted your life,
  your life goals and why this scholarship would be helpful to you.
