Firecracker 5K Walk/Run
June 28, 2008
 Presented by the YMCA of Clay County. They are located at 225 E. Kruzan Street in Brazil, IN. Registration and packet pick-up begins at 6:30AM and the race starts at 7:30AM. For additional information contact the Brazil YMCA.

3rd Annual Mayberry Classic 5K Walk/Run
June 28, 2008
 The 3rd Annual Mayberry Classic 5K Walk/Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk will take place Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Goshorn Park in Clay City. Registration is at 7:30AM and the race starts at 8:30AM. Martinsville Agricultural Fair 5K Run & 2 Mile Walk
June 28, 2008
This event takes place at the Martinsville Fairgrounds in Martinsville, IL. Awards will be presented to overall male and female winners and to the top two finishers in each age group (excluding overall winners.) You will also receive a T-shirt. Registration is from  7-7:45 am. The Walk begins at 8:00am and the Run begins at 8:15am (IL time). Fast Track Mile - WVRR EVENT
July 4, 2008
This is a 1 Mile Run held each year in downtown Terre Haute. Check in and late registration from 7:15 AM to 8:15 AM at Gilbert Park. The Women's Race starts at 8:15 AM and the Men's Race starts at approximately 8:30 AM. There is a school division that will give your team an opportunity to earn money for your schools athletic program. CLICK HERE for more information. Kids' Triathlon - WVRR KID'S EVENT
July 12, 2008
This event will be held at Deming Park, RAIN or SHINE!! Check in is from 6:30AM to 7:45AM.The race starts at 8:00AM. It consist of a 100yard swim, 3 mile bike ride and a 1 mile run. ALL RACERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR AN  ANSI OR SNELL APPROVED HELMET DURING THE ENTIRE BIKE SEGMENT (You MUST provide your own helmet). The mission of the Kid's Triathlon is to promote health and fitness among our youth as well as good sportsmanship and as an introduction to the sport of Triathlon. Friend's of Seelyville 2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk

This event also includes a 1 Mile Fun Run. Race day registration begins at 8:00AM. The 1 Mile Run begins at 8:45AM and the 5K begins at 9:00AM. Midnight River Run - WVRR EVENT
July 25, 2008 (Friday Night)
5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Race registration will be from 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will begin at 10:50 PM. The 5K will begin at 11:15 PM. The race will start at the Terre Haute Family Y and will be ran in Fairbanks Park. This year's proceeds from the Midnight River Run will go to the "WVRR youth Running Program." Bret Neylon's Race to Recovery 5K Run & Walk
July 26, 2008
This race takes place in Brownsburg, Indiana. This year's event will raise money for both Bret Neylon and John Wassen to assist with spinal cord rehabilitation and continuing medical costs. For more information go to www.racetorecovery.org

Putnam County Mental Health 4 Mile Run and 2 Mile Walk

The race starts at 8:00am. This is an extremely beautiful packed stone course at DePauw's Nature Park Gift. Awards are Certificates to The Running Co.  Check-in begins at 9:00 a.m. and the Walk begins at 10:00 a.m. Walkers will enjoy their choice of a 1 or 3-mile course along the National Heritage Trail behind Rose-Hulman's Sport and Recreation Center, located at 5500 Wabash Avenue in Terre Haute. For additional information call 1-800 fight ms.

Terre Haute 10 Miler "Finish up the Hill"  - WVRR EVENT
September 20, 2008
There will be a 10 Mile Run and a 5K Non-Competitive Walk. This is a nice course with a few rolling hills and a challenging uphill finish. The race will start at the Zorah Shrine Country Place, 4500 E. Temple Avenue, Terre Haute, Indiana. Packet pick-up and on-site registration will be from 7:30am to 8:30am. Charleston Challenge Duathlon
September 27, 2008
The 2008 Charleston Challenge Duathlon will be on Saturday, Sept 27th at 9:00am. This is a 2 mile run – 19.1 mile bike – 2 mile run. The run is on rolling, lightly traveled residential streets. Both runs are the same loop. Volunteers will be at corners to guide runners. The ride is a 19.1 mile loop with 6 lung scorching climbs, +40 MPH down hills and flats to hammer. Well marked course with signs and arrows, volunteers at busy corners to signal traffic. We will have a free kid’s race starting at 7:30 AM. Enlisted Dining Out 10K and 5K Races (Part II)
October 4, 2008
Events include a 10K Run, 5K Run/Walk and a 1.5 Mile Fun Run.  Entry fee is $5.00 - no shirts for this race. The event will take place at the 181st Intelligence Wing Terre Haute, IN. The Fitness Exposition will take place on October 4, 2008 from 9:00am to 11:00am in the Hanger.  All Race and Expo events are open to the public. Late Registration is from 7:45am to 8:45am. The 1.5 Mile Race starts at 9:00am and the 5K & 10K races start at 9:20am.  The Part II race is being held for everyone to see how they've done over the summer with their running or walking training. It will also be an opportunity for those individuals who couldn't run with us in March come join us in October. We are challenging the local area Army National Guard and the Marine Reserve to participate in this race. 9th Annual Hoosiers Outrun Cancer

This event takes place in Bloomington, IN.  There is a 5K Run/Walk that winds its way through the IU Campus ending at Memorial Stadium. Visit their website at www.hoosiersoutruncancer.org. Ridge Runner Classic
October 25, 2008
This event takes place at Fox Ridge State Park (located 8 miles south of Charleston, IL on Rte. 130). There will be a 3.75 Mile Trail Run, 2.5 Mile Walk and 1.5 Mile Walk on roads (strollers are allowed on the walks only).  Click here for a race application. Indiana Fall Classic - WVRR EVENT
November 8, 2008
This is a 10k Run held at Hawthorn Park in Terre Haute, Indiana. There will also be a 1 Mile Run. The course consist of 75% trails with several hills. The running surface is fairly smooth and wide enough to pass. This race is truly an Indiana Classic! Race day registration is from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM. The 1 Mile Run will start at 9:50 AM and the 10K Run will start at 10:10 AM. (Those of you coming from Illinois, please remember the time change!)
