THANKSGIVING DAY RUN AT ST. MARY'S

For those of you who missed it, several members got together on Thanksgiving morning for a group run at St. Mary of Woods. The "cost" to run was a canned good donation,
and despite the slightly chilly and foggy weather a great time was had by all and the canned goods were donated to a local food bank. Our next group run will be on Christmas Eve at 2:00 PM at the Grand Traverse Pie Company. After our run of 3 to 6 miles depending on your mood we will be meeting back at Grand Traverse for hot coffee, pie, or whatever turns your crank, according to Bruce. Hope to see you all there.

ANNUAL WVRR MEMBERS ONLY PICNIC AND 5K

The Annual WVRR Family Picnic and Age Graded 5k will be on August 25th. It will be held once again at the Lost Creek Community Park at the intersection of Hunt Road and Haythorne Avenue (an intersection familiar to TNTer's)
in North Terre Haute. The Party will begin at 3:00. There will be a kids run of 1/2 mile at 5:15 with the Age and Sex Graded 5K to follow
after which we will eat. For those of you who do not know the 5K is a handicap race.
You will get a head start on the field according to your age and sex to
even things up. The club will supply all food and beverages, except dessert, which we encourage you to bring. The event is free to members, their families and guests.
All who attend will receive a great tech shirt and a few hours with the some of the nicest people in the Wabash Valley. Come
and bring your family and celebrate who we are.
We urge all members to take part and get to know your fellow members and get involved in an organization that does so much for so many. You need not race to attend just come and enjoy. RSVP by emailing who is coming and what size shirt they wear .

We are looking for people to help out with the Kids Running Program. Be at Deming Park softball field Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30. Any and all help will be appreciated.
RUNNING GROUP REMINDER

Just a reminder that we will be starting our track workouts 7:30 AM June 4th at Honey Creek Middle School track.
We will be using the schedule from Running 201. This is a progressive program and will take us through training for the Indiana Fall Classic 10K. Therefore, the first week is quite short and each week the workouts get longer. Workouts vary in form from minutes on, minutes off, to pyramids, and 400s or 800s, so there should not be any boredom from week to week.
This Monday we will be running 2 minutes on, 2 minutes off times 4. We will always do a 1 mile warm up and a 1 mile cool down each session. The longest workout (the end of October) will be 800 x 5 with 400 recoveries. No track work on July 2nd...too close to the Fast Track Mile race.
If you know anyone else who would like to join us, pass this on. We will not be running in heavy rain, lightning, or thunder!

The outer soles will be ground to make outdoor sports surfaces (tennis courts, basketball courts, running track, playground surfaces) The inner soles will be ground to make indoor sports surfaces (tennis courts, basketball courts, running tracks, weight rooms) Fabric upper shredded to become cushioning for under wooden or rubber surfaces or made into new athletic shoes.
