2011 RACE DETAILS
|
This is a point to point race that will start in downtown Terre Haute and finish at the LaVern Gibson National
Cross Country Course located at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center,
east of Terre Haute.

Center. You have the choice of parking downtown, but you will be responsible to find your way back to your car or you can park at the WVFSC and we will bus you to the starting line. If you are planning on riding the bus you need to ensure you mark "YES" on the race application and you will receive a bus pass at packet pick-up. Busses begin loading at 6:00 am and will leave as they are filled. The last bus will leave at 6:30 am. If you miss the last bus, you will need to find your own way to the start line. |
| WALKERS - you will need to maintain a 18 minute per mile pace. This will start after the last person crosses the starting line. If a runner/walker cannot maintain an 18 minute per mile pace, there will be a vehicle following the field that will pick up these individuals from the course. The finish line will close 4 hours after the last person crosses the starting line. | ||||
| There will be water stations every 1.5 to 2 miles. Every other stop will have Gatorade available. | ||||
| AWARDS - Finisher's Medal for everyone completing the 13.1 mile course | ||||
| - Overall Male and Female Winners - both will win a free pair of shoes courtesy of New Balance and Pacesetters Sports | ||||
| - Overall Male Master and Female Master - both will win a free pair of shoes courtesy of New Balance and Pacesetters Sports | ||||
| - Overall Male Grandmaster and Female Grandmaster - both will win a free pair of shoes courtesy of New Balance and Pacesetters Sports | ||||
| - Male and Female age group awards as follows 12-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ | ||||
| * minimum age to participate - must be 12 years old by 9/10/11 | ||||
| There will be a bag check available near the start of the race. | ||||
| Short sleeve tech shirts for all participants registered prior to 9/1/11. | ||||
